Where it comes from

A cousin of coffee, from Southeast Asia.

Kratom is the leaf of Mitragyna speciosa, an evergreen tree in the Rubiaceae family — the same botanical family as coffee. It grows across the tropics of Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Papua New Guinea, where people have chewed and brewed the leaf for generations.

Leaves are harvested by hand, dried, and ground. The color of the leaf's central vein — white, green or red — tracks with its maturity and, after drying, with the character of the brew.

How it's grown

A tropical tree, picked by hand.

Kratom isn't a seasonal crop — it's a tall evergreen tree that grows for years in the humid jungles of Southeast Asia. Everything about the final feel starts with the leaf and how it's dried.

Grown

An evergreen tree in the coffee family, thriving in Indonesia's humid, tropical soil.

Picked

Mature leaves harvested by hand; the vein color is chosen for the effect.

Dried

Sun- and shade-dried — how long it's dried shifts white toward red.

Ground & tested

Milled to a fine leaf powder, then third-party lab-tested before it's brewed.

It's all in the vein

White, green, red.

White

The morning cup — clean, bright energy and focus.

Daytime lift

Green

The all-rounder — a balanced lift that's social and steady.

Red

The nightcap — mellow, calming, made to wind down.

Evening

The strains

Vein color, then origin.

Kratom is one plant — Mitragyna speciosa — but the feel shifts with the leaf's vein color and where it's grown. Ours is lab-tested Indonesian leaf. One honest note: most 'strain' names are regional and marketing shorthand, not different species, and effects overlap and vary batch to batch.

By vein color

The biggest tell — it tracks the leaf's maturity and how it's dried.

White veinYoung leaf

The morning cup — cleanest, brightest, most energizing.

Green veinBalanced

The all-rounder — a steady, sociable lift without the edge.

Red veinMature

The nightcap — mellow, calming, made to wind down.

Yellow / GoldExtended dry

A smooth, longer-feeling middle ground from blended or longer-cured leaf.

By region & strain

Named for where the leaf grows — a rough guide, not a guarantee.

IndoOur source

Indonesian leaf — smooth and well-rounded, balanced to relaxing by vein.

Maeng DaPotent

'Pimp grade' — selectively harvested for strength; energizing to balanced.

BaliRelaxing

A classic, fuller-body, easygoing feel.

Green MalayLong-lasting

Known for staying power and a mood-lifting, balanced character.

BorneoMellow

ThaiEnergetic

Leans bright and stimulating, especially in whites and greens.

The active part

Mitragynine & friends.

Kratom's character comes from a set of naturally occurring alkaloids — chiefly mitragynine, with a supporting cast that shifts by strain and vein color. We third-party lab-test everything, so you know exactly what's in the cup.

Dialing it in

What changes the feel.

With kratom, the same leaf can energize or ease depending on how it's served. These are the levers our staff use to match your vibe.

Amount (the master dial)Smaller servings tend to feel stimulating and bright; larger ones lean relaxing and heavy. Start low — you can always add.
Vein colorWhite leans energizing, red leans calming, green sits in the middle, and gold is smooth and long.
Strain / regionRegional leaf (Maeng Da, Bali, Malay, our Indo) shifts the character and how long it lasts.
Alkaloid ratioMitragynine is the primary alkaloid, with only trace 7-hydroxymitragynine; the ratio shifts by vein and drying.
Empty vs. full stomachOn less food it tends to come on quicker; with food it's gentler and slower.
Rotation & toleranceSticking to one strain daily builds tolerance; regulars rotate to keep it even.

First-timer tips

  • Start small — the amount is the master dial between a lift and a wind-down.
  • Whites and greens lean energizing; reds lean calming. Tell staff your vibe.
  • It comes on faster on a lighter stomach.
  • Never mix kratom with alcohol or other sedatives.
  • Rotate strains if you come often — sticking to one builds tolerance.

Why people drink it

What kratom is loved for.

In Southeast Asia the leaf has been brewed for generations — by farmers and laborers for a lift through a long day, and to unwind after. Here's what people traditionally reach for it.

Clean energy

At smaller servings, whites and greens give a bright, coffee-like lift.

Focus

A dialed-in, get-things-done feeling many prefer to another cup of coffee.

Relaxation

At larger servings, reds ease you into a mellow wind-down.

Mood & sociability

A common report is a lighter, more talkative, better-humored feel.

A coffee alternative

Brewed as a tea or a tart lemonade — the ritual of a warm cup, a different lift.

Questions

The quick answers.

What does kratom tea feel like?

It depends on the strain and amount. Whites and greens tend to feel bright and energizing at smaller servings; reds and larger servings lean calming. Our staff will help you pick.

Is kratom the same as kava?

No — different plants entirely. Kava is a root from the South Pacific; kratom is a leaf from the coffee family in Southeast Asia. They feel different, and we serve both.

Is it lab-tested?

Always. We only serve third-party lab-tested kratom — no isolates, no mystery blends.

How much should I order?

Start low, especially your first time — you can always add more. Tell us whether you want a lift or a wind-down and we'll dial it in.

Do I have to be a certain age?

Yes — you must be of legal age, and we serve responsibly in line with Arizona law.

Are kratom strains actually different plants?

No — it's all one plant, Mitragyna speciosa. 'Strain' names mostly describe the leaf's vein color and where it was grown. Effects overlap and vary from batch to batch, which is why we lab-test and let our staff guide you.

White vs. green vs. red — what's the difference?

It tracks the leaf's maturity and drying. White leans energizing, red leans calming, and green sits in the middle. Gold/yellow is a smooth, longer-feeling in-between.
