Questions

The quick answers.

Is kava a good alcohol replacement?

A lot of our regulars use it exactly that way — the social, unwound feeling of a drink, minus the impairment and the hangover. It's a different plant with a different feel, not a copy of alcohol.

Does kava get you drunk?

No. Kava contains no alcohol and won't get you 'drunk.' It's a calm, clear-headed relaxation — present, not impaired.

Can I drive after kava?

Kava is relaxing and, in larger amounts, a little sedating — so never drive if you feel any effects, and never mix it with alcohol. Use your judgment, like you would with anything.

Will I be hungover?

Kava doesn't cause a hangover. Most people feel clear the next morning.

Can I mix kava and alcohol?

We don't recommend it — skip the alcohol and enjoy the kava on its own.
